I will share details of the ways in which we will be marking this day in the Secondary school via email, so please do look out for this. I do hope that you will be able to join us.Īs we move towards the half-term break, our attention turns to another way to celebrate the diversity of our community: International Day. Our next Parent Academy will take place on Thursday, 27th of October the focus will be our BISB Science Curriculum. Ms Mate is an invaluable resource to our community, and we are very thankful to have her care and support.

As parents, it is so important that we are able to support our children in every respect, and their well-being underpins everything else in their lives. I hope that you were able to join Ms Anka Mate, our school counsellor, yesterday for our Parent Academy, focusing on student well-being. Today sees our International Award students venture out for their qualifying Silver Expedition this is always a challenging and rewarding experience, but today’s weather makes me think that this will be challenging in more ways than one! We wish them every success on their expedition and look forward to hearing more about it next week. Ultimately, language is so powerful in enabling us to communicate effectively the more ways we can do this, the better! I am forever in awe of our students for many reasons, one being that many of them are plurilingual.

As a wonderfully diverse international community, we have a vast array of languages spoken by us all, and it is only right that we celebrate our linguistic tapestry: this week has been one way in which we can do this. Gracias, merci, köszönöm, danke, and thank you to our World Languages team and prefects who have coordinated our Languages Week this week, incorporating European Day of Languages.
